Can I Live Here Off-Grid?

Yes! You can set up an off-grid or green living homestead! You can add power by solar or wind, water by cistern or water haul service, and sewer by septic. The county requires you to have a septic system set up before you can live there long term, but you can camp and vacation there short term without having them set up. This area is also really cheap and really easy for setting up a septic system in one day.

Is there Power, Water, or Sewer?

Our properties are raw, pristine undeveloped land ready for you to prep for your off-grid living! Properties with utilities already added to them are drastically more expensive and you save a ton by adding them yourself or with a contractor. You can also customize the off-grid water, power, and septic to your specific needs when you add them yourself.

Can you build a “tiny house”?

Yes - the county allows tiny homes and requires them to be at least 170 square feet minimum (which is pretty small). Check out this page HERE for a reference of what this size house looks like as well as other alternative homes allowed here.

Mohave County allows short term camping up to 14 consecutive days, not to exceed 30 days in a calendar year with no septic system or utilities set up. However, it’s so easy to set up a small yurt and utilities here which IS allowed long term.

Can you camp on the property?

For properties zoned “AR” (Agricultural Residential) or “UNDET-RURAL” (Undetermined, Rural) - Yes, RV’s can be permitted as a temporary residence. You will need to have a septic system put in and the necessary permit. The permit is good for 1 year and has to be renewed annually. For further information please contact the Mohave county Planning/Zoning Department: (928) 758-0707

Can you live in an RV/Trailer?

Mohave County has surprisingly gorgeous mild weather most of the year in the 60s and 70s almost all of the spring, winter, and fall. Summers are hot in the 90s, but that's the perfect time to hit up Lake Havasu or the Colorado River a quick drive from this property.
